Stanford Medicine Healthcare Data for Research

Curating and sharing high-quality clinical datasets to advance biomedical research and data-driven healthcare innovation.

Stanford Medicine Healthcare Data for Research (HDR) curates and shares high-quality clinical datasets to advance biomedical research and data-driven healthcare innovation. Our datasets are derived primarily from the Stanford Medicine STARR (STAnford medicine Research data Repository), which aggregates longitudinal, multi-modal patient data and provides standardized, analysis-ready representations (including OMOP) to support scalable, reproducible data science and clinical AI development.

About

Stanford Medicine includes data for over 4.3 million patients, primarily from three hospitals — Stanford Health Care, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, and Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley — along with a comprehensive network of more than a hundred pediatric and adult care locations across the Bay Area.
